The Lion still roars

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has turned 39 years old.
But still continues to scoop goals in one of the world’s best leagues.

Now unique numbers show why “Ibra” may even be the very best striker of all time.

39 years old, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still life-threatening on the football field. He has started the new season with AC Milan in the absolute best way with a nice four goals in the first two league matches. This means that “Ibra” is now up to a total of 552 scored goals in his career for both club and national teams. Even more impressive is that he has made the goals spread across seven different countries.

Zlatan has scored goals in Sweden, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, France, England and the USA over the years. For nine different teams and for 24 straight seasons, the Swede has delivered goals and it’s just a matter of taking off his hat and applauding for one of football history’s best goal scorers of all time.

It is also very interesting that Ibrahimovic actually scored more goals after his 30th birthday than before. Before the 30-year limit, he scored 232 goals in 528 matches, but after the 30-year limit, there have been an incredible 320 goals in 399 matches.

There are unique figures that show that he can actually be the foremost striker that the football world has ever seen. So let’s look at the Swede’s incredible statistics over the years.

Zlatan is actually the only one ever to win 11 championships in 4 different countries: Eredivisie, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1. He is also the only one to score for six different teams in the Champions League: Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Milan and PSG.

In addition, Ibra is the only one to score in his Serie A debut, La Liga debut, Ligue 1 debut, Premier League debut and Champions League debut. But the last historical note is probably the very best when it comes to Ibrahimovic’s incomparable career.

As Zlatan is the only football player in world history to score in as many as 10 different derbies. And we talk some of the world’s biggest rival meetings like e.g; Dutch De Klassieker, Italian Derby della Madonnina and Derby d’Italia, Spanish El Clásico and Derbi Barceloní, French Le Classique, English Manchester Derby and North-West Derby and American El Tráfico and California Classic.
