Last year I after more than 15 years I decided to reshape my personal blog website. It was time. I tested the new format during a period of four months. I have then done an evaluation. The test was very good. In four months the blog had not only recovered the number of users but indeed the numbers were higher. This answered one of my question, is it still relevant in 2017-2018 to produce blog articles about customs, trade, borders, capacity building and reform/modernization (and football, music, film and Zlatan Ibrahimovic). My thinking was that in the last decade we have all become so much more on-line and there are so many other channels of information – Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, snapchat, Linkedin etc – available that a blog might be outdated. Your interest for the blog proved me wrong. So did Zlatan. There is still an interest. That is why I have decided to open the blog again. Customs, trade, borders have never been more important and interesting than now. With things like, e.g. BREXIT, e-Commerce and emerging new global value chains there on the agenda there are certainly thing to explore. So to my readers, welcome back!
