£180m dedicated for a UK Single Trade Window in the budget

The UK budget announced yesterday by Chancellor Rishi Sunak includes £180m to build a UK Single Trade Window to reduce trade costs by digitally streamlining trader interactions with border agencies.

It also includes £838m over the three years to 2024-25 to complete the delivery of critical customs IT, including the new Customs Declaration Service replacing CHIEF.

The budget also includes more than £45 million for the next digital transformation phases of DIT’s export support services.
