  • Vietnam faces highest tariff at staggering 46%
  • China, Taiwan, Indonesia exceed 30% tariff rates
  • EU, Japan, South Korea impacted with steep levies
  • Canada, Mexico spared—USMCA compliance shields them
  • Maritime Analyticic wrote: ”These tariffs mark a systemic pivot—reshaping global sourcing, elevating ASEAN manufacturing, and pressuring logistics players to redesign trade routes for speed, compliance, and risk mitigation.”

In line with global tariffs announced by the United States (US) government on 3 April 2025, we wanted to make sure you have further information for your business and supply chain moves. The announced trade policy changes will take effect in April and May 2025. These measures involve:

With increased commercial space exploration and the possibility of a human colony on the moon in our lifetime, today we are launching Maersk Space Cargo. The offering will support growing customer demand for cargo, special projects and customs clearance in outer space.

“Today our customers largely rely on government space programmes to transport their cargo to the moon. Maersk wants to close this gap with a unique offering, built on our years of Air Cargo expertise,” says Anne Stronaut, Head of Maersk Space Cargo.

When asked if Maersk Space Cargo would one day transport cargo to Mars or other planets, Anne Stronaut said “The moon IS our moonshot for now, but we always leave the door open for expansion in this exciting new market, once you escape our atmosphere there is no telling just how far ‘All the Way’ will take you!”

No, of course we are not planning on going to the moon – anytime soon at least. But we hope you enjoyed this April Fool’s Day laugh and reminder that it is important to stop and have fun along the way – wherever your destination!

We always go All-The-Way. Also on a day like this.
