Today I was invited to do a presentation about ’Global Trade 2.0 and AEO’ at the Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise in Reykjavik. The presentation was also streamed online.

After the speech I had bilateral meetings with Icelandic companies and I did an press/media interview with the largest daily paper of Iceland.

Yesterday I met one of my best friends in the world of customs, my long time colleague Snorri Olsen – ríkisskattstjóri (Commissioner of Tax and Customs).

It is always a pleasure to catch up with great feiends and colleagues, sharing ideas and news. Our meeting was follwed by a great dinner at Kol.

Snorri is also one of the few Customs Directors having a local beer brand named after him.

A good talk and always a pleasure to visit Reykjavik.

Landed at Keflavik International Airport this morning. It is great to be back on Iceland, one of my favourite places in the world.

In Reykjavik for meeting with Skatturinn (The Icelandic Revenue & Customs Agency) today.

When I travel I always study street art, one of my hobbies. I collect these wxceptionam grafiti artists and this time I didn’t have to go very far since this masterpiece is painted on the wall of the customs building.

Naturally I took time also for a short lunch break at the worlds’ most famous Hot Dog stand, Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur in Reykjavik.
