’Probably The Best Beer In The World’ is a famous slogan.
My friend & former colleague Snorri Olsen, ríkisskattstjóri (Icelandic Commissioner of Tax and Customs) – is likely one of the few customs directors in the world with a beer brand named after him.
For the record, Snorri drank another light beer brand when we met. I had the Snorri-beer.
Outside the magnificant Hallgrímskirkja church, the largest in Iceland that can be found in central Reykjavik, stands the statue of Leif Eriksson also known as Leif the Lucky – the greatest of Vikings.
Eriksson was an explorer and the first European to reach the North American continent.
Leif was the son of Erik the Red, founder of the first European settlement on what is now called Greenland.
