The world’s most successful hotdog stand is not, as many would assume, in New York City: instead, it is in the heart of Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland.

The small business, Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur – which translates from Icelandic into English as “the best hotdog in town” – reached global fame in 2004, after President Bill Clinton visited Reykjavik and stopped for a hotdog.

I have visited Iceland many times, it is one of my favurite countries in the world. When visiting Reykjavik I always make sure to pass by Bæjarins Beztu. So also this time.

There is always a queue to the hot dog stand, always.

Are these the best hot dogs in the world? Many people think so. Tripadvisor rank it as 5.0 (!) and it has sveral tears been the most populR tourist attraction, a strange thing in itseöf on an island with vulcanos, geysers, waterfalls, blue lagoons and a spectacular environment.

Many celebrities have visited Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur. Bill Clinton, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, James Herfield, Ben Stiller, Ella Fitzgerald and so on. They have all been here to eat the worlds’ most famous hotdogs.

The Kardashian sisters recently had their donner at the hot dig stand when visiting Iceland.

Anthony Bourdain, the American celebrity chef, author, and travel documentarian who starred in programs focusing on the exploration of international culture, cuisine (and sadly passed away) did recommended Bæjarins Beztu in his show after a trip to Iceland.

If yoj get a chance to visit Reykjavik, don’t miss this attraction close to water just across from the Customs House.

Again. And again. And again. New goal this morning from Zlatan Ibrahimovic. 29 goals in 28 games.

The lion is still roaring. Clme back in Manchester United in January?

It is Sunday night. Another week in history has passed. Tomorrow is another day, new challenges and new opportunities.

I give you a song to celebrate the end of this week. It is like love, you win and you loose. There is always somebody crying. Yet, another love, another day.

Chris Isaak is one my favourite artists of all times. There is a wonderful story about Chris Isaak. When sdked about his guitar, he saud:

“I’ve got a one-off Gibson version of a Gretsch 6120. They made one of these things and gave it to me to see if I liked it, and I liked it so much I’ve been playing it ever since. People told me they thought it was a White Falcon, but it’s not. It’s just a white Gibson. I don’t think they ever manufactured any of the things. They strung up this one prototype, scratched their heads, and said, ‘Give it to Isaak”. He is that good.

So enjoy one of his best songs. It doesn’ get better than this. An absolute insane live version of the song.
