I always try to help. New meetings this week. Brexit is the biggest Customs change in our lifetime. In fact, very few people have yet realized how huge it is for a country to leave a Customs Union and a Customs territory with free movement of goods. After 45 years of integration.
A new week. A new place. A new challenge. In a plane again. Going to another country. This is the life of a Managing Director, Senior Advisor and Expert in Customs, Trade and Borders.
The world is out there – and it is changing. We see new global value chains and complicated supply chains.
Trade is the key to growth and development of our socities. We need to optimize reform and modernization to fight poverty and corruption.
I feel proud to work in this field and to contribute to new solutions for a better world. We don’t change the world for the better every day, but sometimes. That is good enough.
