15th edition of Advanced Course on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures concludes in Geneva

Twenty-four government officials from around the world participated in the WTO’s three-week Advanced Course on Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Measures, which concluded on 15 November. The course was organized by the Agriculture and Commodities Division and the Institute for Training and Technical Cooperation, with the support of the Standards and Trade Development Facility.

During their time in Geneva, participants had the opportunity to attend SPS Committee meetings and a Thematic Session on Approval Procedures. This enabled them to network and share experiences with WTO experts, delegates and representatives from other international organizations active in SPS-related matters, such as the Codex Alimentarius Commission, the International Plant Protection Convention and the World Organisation for Animal Health.
