Global Trade 2.0: Is DPP an important part of the new future?

Great to participate and speak on the UN ESCAP webinar pabel on ’Digital Product Passports and cross-border trade’ earlier today. Excellent panel discussions.

A Passport for Goods will be a reality sacling already in 2027. The DPP will be a fundamental engine of a woder passport that enables inter-connected digital trade corridors and inter-operable trusted trade lane data pipelines.

However, as I stated in my panelintervention this will only happen at scale in close cooperation with industry, using the data for multiple purposes to reduce border challenges – increasing trade facilitation. In short, connect the DPP as a data container for a wider multipages Passport for Goods, enabling fast tracks at borders – based on verified trust and early exchange of verified commercial data on product, entities involved, customs and goods movement.

Thanks to the organizer for organizing this timely event and to all panel colleagues for the conversation. The momentum is now – let’s do it!
