The first Trump “tariff letters” are coming in. The following countries are hit with blanket tariffs on all goods, seperate from existing sectoral tariffs:

🇲🇲 Myanmar (40%)
🇷🇸 Serbia (35%)
🇿🇦 South Africa (30%)
🇹🇳 Tunisia (25%)
🇹🇭 Thailand (36%)
Transshipments are targeted with the higher tariffs they’re seen to evade.
Any retaliation? The same tariff rate will be stacked on top of the blanket tariffs.
The new tariffs take effect 1 August.
