African of The Year
The 2020 African Of The Year Award has been given to Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
Congratulations to Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the chair of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.
She is a globally-renowned #economist who has served twice as Nigeria’s finance minister, and also rose to prominence as the Managing Director of the WorldBank.
She is currently working hard to make vaccines available to poor countries and enable equal access to the Covid19 vaccine.
And let’s not forget soon-to-be Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
