We’re connecting Europe – one port at a time.

There are 550 ports on the trans-European transport network that help:

– Transfer billions of tonnes of goods each year
– Facilitate trade with countries outside of the EU
– Get passengers where they need to go
– Supply jobs for local communities

In turn, our EU Ports Strategy aims to support ports by:

– Improving EU competitiveness and promoting the scale-up & uptake of innovative technologies
– Advancing port electrification, access to the grid and clean energy
– Strengthening port resilience by combating drug trafficking
– Developing a skilled next-generation workforce
