10% U.S Tariffs for countries supporting Denmark over Greenland. This is primarily directed towards eight EU countries, but since the EU has common trade policies there will be a collective EU response. The new tariff is to be implemented from February 1st with an increase to 25% from July if an agreement on Greenland hasn’t been reached.

When predicting the 2026 outloook for international trade at the end of last year, I stated that we will have more of the same & that it will get worse before it gets better. There is unfortunately more of these increasing complexities & growing uncertainties for trade ahead.
