These are the 50 most dangerous cities in the world.

I have visited 41 of these cities. My take, most of them are also wonderful places.

Here are some simple rules to think about if you are in a dangerous city, and want to take a walk, which is something that I always do upon arrival.

• Stay in hotels from an international chain
• Take advice from the hotel doorman
• Only habe cash in your pockets, no credit cards
• Never wear a watch on your wrist
• Go where there are people and lights.
• Use common sense.
• Never go out drunk by yourself
• Take an official taxi from a well known local company used by the hotel
