What a day we had with customers in Paris!
Yesterday we organized another full house A.P. Moller – Maersk Customs Client Forum (CCF) where we listened to the voice of our customers & co-designed solutions for tomorrow.

We had engaged dialogue, great statements & excellent networking all day.
The event was moderated by our own, Pablo G. Ortega Faraudo, Global Commercial Lead of MCS GTCC & opened by Matilde Torquemada, Maersk Area Head of Sales.

Ricardo Treviño Chapa, Deputy Secretary General WCO, delivered a key note speech.

We then had a presentation on ’Tariff matters: role of Rules of Origin in current trade environment’ from Darlan F. Marti, Market Access Division at the WTO.

Professor Ari Kokko from Copenhagen Business School talked about his research on ’Tariff matters: leveraging benefits of Free Trade Agreements’.
Svetlin Valchev, Customs Policy Unit, European Commission, talked about ’Freedom of movement of goods: cornerstone of EU single market’.

Valerie Picard from the International Chamber of Commerce presented the tooic, ’Freedom of movement of goods: practical aspects and challenges’ together with
I made a presentation on ’Customs and trade compliance in a time of uncertainty: transforming challenges to opportunities’.

The day ended with a round table interactive discussion.

Thank you to all customers that took time to join us for the meeting. Kudos to all excellent panel speakers that made our day so much better.

My personal gratitude to all colleagues that made this event possible. We will be back for another CCF in Paris next year.

This was definitely one of the best Client Customs Forums to date. We will continue the tour in 2026, so watch out – we will soon be in a city near you.
