USCBP Priorities

Office of Trade 101 is in session. What are CBP’s Priority Trade Issues?

CBP’s Priority Trade Issues (PTIs) target high-risk areas that threaten the U.S. economy or the health and saty of Americans.

These Priority Trade Issues help focus resources and enforcement efforts, including audits, targeted operations, outreach, and regulations to protect lawful trade. CBP’s current PTI initiatives:

  • Agriculture
  • Antidumping and countervailing duties (AD/CVD)
  • Import safety
  • Intellectual property rights
  • Revenue
  • Textiles
  • Trade Agreements

By enforcing trade laws, collecting duties, and enforcing trade remedies, CBP protects American consumers and ensures a level playing field for American businesses.
