There is a ’new sheriff in town’ (and a new megaport on the way)

Great news for world trade – and tjisnis in a time where we need good news.

We’re approaching the finish line Rijeka Gateway is just steps away from going live.

✔️ Major construction works are complete
✔️ Key infrastructure and equipment are in place
✔️ Operational systems are undergoing final testing
 
At the same time, we’re actively hiring and training new team members – because a terminal is more than just infrastructure. It’s a community of people who bring it to life.

In early August, we’ll welcome a test vessel, marking the start of operational training under real conditions. This phase is all about aligning procedures, coordinating teams, and fine-tuning every part of the operation, from vessel berthing and container discharge to administrative processing and onward cargo movement.
 
Early September will bring the first trucks and trains with export cargo, followed by the arrival of the first commercial vessel on Sep 12th. From then on, vessel calls will follow a regular weekly schedule.
